Bhutan

Bhutan with its pristine surroundings is one of the most enchanting places in the Eastern Himalayas. It has the most lovely rugged mountains to the breathtaking landscapes. You can enter the town through road and airways. International flights operate on this tour. The official airport is the Paro airport. There are many hotels, guest houses and lodges available around the city. In the city of Thimphu you get to see the amazing collections of the Buddhist manuscripts in the National Library, the Paper factory, National handicraft emporium and the very interesting Folk and Heritage museum depicting the life of the farmers of Bhutan in ancient times. You can have a lifetime experience trekking at Punakha valley and Dochula Pass crossing various villages in scenic locations and walking past the rivers.
Since 7th century, the historical records of Bhutan began with the entrance of Buddhism, when monasteries were established by the Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) after visiting Bhutan. The prehistory of this kingdom is not much known. It is said that the first human was appeared after the Ice Age.
