Your adventure begins in Delhi with a comfortable road journey to Manali in our private vehicle driven by an experienced mountain driver. Our driver will pick you up from the designated point and ensure a smooth and relaxed drive through changing landscapes, winding mountain roads, and refreshing hill air.

This long yet scenic drive is designed to help you unwind and gradually transition from city life to the calm of the Himalayas. Traveling together as a group allows everyone to bond even before the expedition officially begins, setting the tone for the journey ahead.

Overnight: Private Vehicle (Delhi → Manali)

Upon arrival in Manali, you will be guided to the hotel where our team will be waiting to welcome you. After check-in, room allocation, and some well-earned rest, you will be introduced to your tour leader and support crew.

Later in the day, a detailed safety and rescue briefing will be conducted, covering riding protocols, altitude awareness, emergency response, and group riding discipline. In the evening, the tour leader will conduct a complete ride briefing, route overview, and interactive group discussion followed by a warm dinner.

This day is intentionally kept light to help your body adjust to the altitude before the real adventure begins.

Maximum Altitude: Baralacha La – approx. 16,000 ft

After breakfast, the engines roar to life as you officially begin your Himalayan ride. The route takes you through dramatic mountain landscapes, glacial streams, and your first taste of high-altitude riding.

Highlights of the day include:

Crossing the majestic Baralacha La Pass

Visiting the pristine Deepak Tal

Riding through rugged terrain and remote mountain stretches

This is your first riding day, so maintaining formation and following group instructions is crucial. The terrain may include loose gravel and narrow mountain roads.

Important Note: Stopping at Baralacha La is strictly time-limited due to altitude-related health risks.

Start Altitude: Manali – 6,398 ft

End Altitude: Sarchu – approx. 15,000 ft

Overnight: Camps/Hotel in Sarchu

Distance: ~228 km

Duration: 10–11 hours

Average Altitude: Above 14,000 ft

This is one of the most thrilling and rewarding days of the expedition. You will cross multiple legendary high-altitude passes and experience some of the smoothest riding roads in Ladakh.

Crossing Tanglang La, one of the highest motorable passes

Passing through Upshi and Karu before reaching Leh

The long ride tests endurance, focus, and teamwork. Hydration is critical—consume at least 4–5 liters of water throughout the day. Medical support and oxygen assistance will be available if required.

Distance: ~130 km

Duration: 5–6 hours

Maximum Altitude: Khardung La – approx. 17,982 ft

Today’s ride takes you to the enchanting Nubra Valley, famous for its contrasting landscapes and desert terrain.

Key experiences:

Crossing the legendary Khardung La Pass

Visit to Diskit Monastery

Exploring the cold desert sand dunes of Hunder

Optional ride on double-humped camels (at own cost)

Due to extreme altitude at Khardung La, stopping time is kept minimal.

Start Altitude: Leh – 11,480 ft

End Altitude: Nubra – approx. 10,000 ft

Overnight: Hunder / Diskit

Distance: ~170 km (round trip)

After breakfast, ride towards Turtuk, one of the northernmost villages of India, located near the Indo-Pak border along the Shyok River. This village offers a completely different cultural and geographical experience compared to central Ladakh.

Turtuk is known for:

Its Balti culture

Lush green fields and orchards

Apricot farms and traditional homes

A fascinating history linked to 1971

After exploring the village and interacting with locals, ride back to Hunder by evening.

Overnight: Nubra Valley

Distance: ~170 km

Duration: 6–7 hours

Maximum Altitude: ~14,300 ft

This scenic ride follows the adventurous Shyok River route, offering raw landscapes, river crossings, and cinematic views.

Highlights:

Riding alongside the Shyok River

Passing through remote Ladakhi settlements

Visiting the famous 3 Idiots movie viewpoint

First glimpse of the mesmerizing Pangong Tso

Start Altitude: Hunder – approx. 12,000 ft

End Altitude: Pangong Lake – approx. 14,270 ft

Overnight: Camps near Pangong Lake

Distance: ~230 km

Duration: 5–6 hours

Wake up early to witness the magical color changes of Pangong Lake at sunrise. After breakfast, begin the ride back to Leh via scenic mountain roads.

En route, you will pass Chumathang hot springs, offering a unique natural experience before descending towards Leh.

Hydration and steady riding remain essential.

End Altitude: Leh – 11,480 ft

Distance: ~230 km

Duration: 7–8 hours

The journey retraces parts of the Manali–Leh highway, offering a fresh perspective on the dramatic terrain. You will again cross high-altitude regions, glacial streams, and vast open landscapes.

Special care is required at water crossings near Zingzing Bar and Patseo. Avoid oily food and stay hydrated to reduce altitude discomfort.

Overnight: Sarchu

Distance: ~230 km

Duration: 7–8 hours

Today marks your return from the high-altitude desert to the greener valleys of Himachal. Crossing Baralacha La one final time, the landscape slowly changes from barren mountains to lush forests.

As altitude decreases, breathing becomes easier and the sense of achievement grows stronger.

Overnight: Manali

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. You are free to explore Manali town, shop for souvenirs, or relax before departure. In the evening, you will board the Volvo bus back to Delhi, carrying unforgettable memories, lifelong friendships, and stories worth sharing.
