Adi Kailash & Om Parvat Trek

6 Days

Overview

High in the remote Kumaon Himalayas of Uttarakhand lies a land where time slows down, prayers echo in the wind, and every mountain whispers ancient legends — this is the Adi Kailash & Om Parvat region.

Regarded as the replica of Mount Kailash in Tibet, Adi Kailash (5,945 m) stands majestically near the Indo-Tibet border, surrounded by tranquil lakes, sacred temples, and untouched Himalayan beauty. It is believed to be the earthly abode of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, who are said to have meditated here for ages. At the base of the peak lies Parvati Sarovar, a crystal-clear lake that mirrors the sacred mountain — a sight that leaves even the most seasoned traveler speechless.

Not far from Adi Kailash lies Om Parvat (6,191 m), another marvel of nature and divinity. The mountain’s snow-clad slopes display a naturally formed symbol of “ॐ”, a sacred syllable revered across Hinduism and Buddhism. This phenomenon, visible only from specific vantage points, has turned Om Parvat into a place of pilgrimage and spiritual awe.

The journey through Darma, Byans, and Chaudans Valleys — collectively known as the “Abode of the Rung People” — takes you through dense forests, alpine meadows, roaring rivers, and remote Himalayan villages untouched by modernity. From the rhythmic chants of local monasteries to the stillness of glacial lakes, every moment in this trek feels like a step closer to divinity.

Unlike typical adventure treks, this expedition blends spiritual exploration with raw Himalayan adventure, making it one of the most soul-enriching journeys in India.
