Overview
The Chopta–Tungnath–Chandrashila–Deoriatal Trek is one of Uttarakhand’s most scenic and beginner-friendly Himalayan adventures. Starting from Dehradun, this 3-day journey takes you through dense forests, alpine meadows, peaceful villages, and sacred Himalayan trails. The highlight of the trek is visiting Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world, followed by a breathtaking climb to Chandrashila Peak (13,123 ft), offering 360° views of Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, Trishul, and Kedar Dome.
The experience continues with a short and beautiful hike to Deoriatal Lake, famous for its crystal-clear reflections of the Chaukhamba Range.
